Pressure vessels for sour-gas service make very special demands on steel quality. Only ultra-high cleanness and homogeneity assure constant protection against hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC).

The strengths of DICREST proprietary steel:

• DICREST has been developed and optimised for use in sour-gas-resistant pressure vessels. A specially controlled casting and rolling process, combined with concluding normalising and stress-relieving annealing after production, ensure resistance to HIC throughout the plate.
• We supply DICREST in four HIC-resistance levels – DICREST 5, DICREST 10, DICREST 15 and DICREST PLUS, all of them in large plate thicknesses.
• DICREST naturally fulfils the Requirements for Standardised Boiler and Pressure-Vessel Steels: ASME SA516 Grade 60, 65 and 70, P275 NH, NL1 and NL2, and P355 N, NH, NL1 and NL2.
• We can also meet your own demanding specifications.
• DICREST comes to you with the security assured by its global references.
• Other pressure-vessel steels can also be supplied to DICREST standards on agreement, including SA537 Cl 1, for example, or a sour-gas-resistant TM steel for tank construction in accordance with the DI-TANK specifications.
