Their names: "Legend of the Seas", "Splendour of the Seas", "Rhapsody of the Seas" and "Vision of the Seas". Their owner is Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (RCCL), and they are used to provide well-to-do vacationers with cruising enjoyment in the Caribbean and off Alaska. Above all, they are considered - from their very architecture alone - to be the apogee of modern maritime elegance - practically filigree palaces of steel and glass. In all four cases, Dillinger was responsible for the steel - a total of 48,000 tonnes of high-quality heavy plate in state-of-the-art shipbuilding grades.
