DIWETEN 460 M/ML, the Dillinger weathering steel - one step ahead of the norm
With its normalized DIWETEN steels (+N), Dillinger has long been ideally equipped for the use in sustainable structures made of weather resistant steel. But that's not all: With the development of the thermomechanically rolled (TM) DIWETEN 460 M/ML, Dillinger has taken another major step forward. The thermomechanical rolling process permits a more moderate alloying concept, so that DIWETEN 460 M/ML has a significantly lower carbon equivalent than the normalized steels and thus, despite its higher strength, improved weldability for the benefit of our customers.
When DIWETEN 460 M/ML was launched, it already fulfilled the requirements of the new standard EN 10025-5, which has just been published. It is therefore ideally positioned to meet current and future requirements, such as those required for efficient and sustainable bridge and building construction in Europe.
Due to our advance on the normative development and the outstanding properties of our product, which were clearly above the previously valid standard, we have succeeded in booking a first order in DIWETEN 460 M/ML for a bridge in Great-Britain.
Innovative top-quality steel products, total orientation around our customers' needs and unceasing technological development in close cooperation with our partners form the basis of our success - as they have for more than 333 years.
