Heavy plate from Dillinger Hütte for the Teesside offshore wind farm

EDF Energy Renewable officially opened on 16th April 2014 the Teesside Offshore wind farm, located in northeastern England.
The 27 installed turbines have the capacity to produce 62 MW of electricity to power up to 40,000 households. They are mounted on monopile foundations in water depths of up to 18 m. Dillinger Hütte supplied for these monopile foundations around 16,000 tons of, essentially thermo-mechanically rolled, heavy plates in thicknesses up to 85 mm.
