Extended E-Service: Preheating temperature for flame cutting

The E-Service area of Dillinger Hütte’s website offers useful tools to support or to help optimizing the processing of heavy plates at the customers’ facilities. This enables the full exhausting of the potential Dillinger heavy plates provide to the fabricator.
Welding as well as heat treatments are such typical processing steps for heavy plates, therefore Dillinger Hütte has already developed a while ago special tools for these processes. Now a new tool joins the E-Service platform: "Preheating temperature for flame cutting”. Flame cutting is the most commonly used process for the cutting of thick heavy plates. Mostly, in order to avoid undesired material changes, heavy plates are preheated before flame cutting, that means heated to a higher working temperature. By applying this tool the customer can easily arrive at the preheating temperature recommended for the steel grade used. This allows safe and efficient processes.
