Dillinger Hütte to raise plate prices by 30€/t in second quarter 2013

Dillinger Hütte, the leading European plate producer, with an annual capacity of 2.3 Mio t of quarto plates, is increasing plate prices by 30 €/t for deliveries in second quarter 2013 with immediate effect.
After first price gains in the recent weeks, Dillinger Hütte sees the price increase of 30 €/t as a realistic approach based on market fundamentals. Positive effects from the restocking cycle in combination with improving market sentiment of end users are supporting the move. This will also help to cover the raw material and energy related cost increase.
