Dillinger and ConstruirAcier promote together the use of steel in bridge building

At the end of October, Dillinger participated in a technical meeting organized by ConstruirAcier, the French association for promoting the use of steel in the construction sector. This meeting was devoted to steel and composite bridges. Nearly 120 participants met in Montpellier in order to visit the imposing steel construction site of the two Lez-Lironde bridges erected within the transformation of the A9 into a dual carriageway and the rail by-pass at the Nîmes and Montpellier rail junction. This day was also an excellent opportunity for Dillinger to present its latest steel developments:

• Thermomechanically rolled steels DI-MC 355 and DI-MC 460 now available in thicknesses up to 150 mm,
• DIWETEN 460, structural steel with a higher strength and improved atmospheric corrosion resistance,
• Extended feasability for longitudinally profiled plates: maximum segment taper of 10 mm/m.

These new steels offer tailor-made technical solutions to the building owners, designers and architects who are always looking for products combining high reliability, security and quality.
