DILLIMAX – the development goes on

On the occasion of this year's bauma we have introduced once more the advancements of our brand steels, the quenched and tempered, high-strength DILLIMAX and the wear resistant DILLIDUR.

Now the dimension spectrum reaches up to a plate thickness of 255 mm (10 in.) for DILLIMAX 690 and 120 mm (4.7 in.) for DILLIMAX 965.

Additionally, DILLIMAX offers well-founded advantages in comparison to standard steels:

• The ultrasonic class S₁E₁ in accordance with EN 10160 is now included.
• The “tramp elements” phosphorus (P) and sulphur (S) are limited on P ≤ 0.018 % and S ≤ 0.005 %. In comparison to the standard EN 10025-6 phosphorus and sulphur are limited to around 70 % of the maximum values given in the standard EN 10025-6.
• Low carbon equivalents for the reliable and economic welding of DILLIMAX are established.
• Higher toughness level for DILLIMAX 690 B,T in thickness up to 120 mm (4.7 in.) is assured: Impact energy KV₂ (long./ transv.): 60 J/40 J at – 20 °C (basic grade B) and at – 40 °C (tough grade T), clearly more than demanded in the standard EN 10025-6.
