Our DIFENDER special steel is your best choice when you need to meet ultra-high security requirements with the minimum of weight. DIFENDER protects armoured limousines, cash transporters and buildings against ballistic and explosive attack.
DIFENDER offers:
- excellent resistance against bullet, blast waves impact and splittering in combination with high hardness, strength and low weight
- hardness values of 400, 450 und 500 HBW
- good impact values (longitudinal and transverse) at -40 °C
- thickness tolerances: -0/+0,8 mm
- restricted flatness tolerances acc. tab. 5 EN 10029
- specific testing on mother plate with 3.1 material test report
- good processing properties combined with tight thickness tolerances
The distribution of DIFENDER is done only via direct sales or specialized Steel Service Centers.
