DIWETEN 355
Especially for higher plate thicknesses the bridge construction in Europe frequently requires steels with toughness properties which far exceed the requirements of the current standard EN 10025-5.
Now, with DIWETEN 355, Dillinger proposes a material, which, with its order options, exactly satisfies these higher requirements.
As a standard DIWETEN 355 achieves 40 J at -20 °C for the average value of absorbed impact energy, that is in accordance with the requirements of a S355K2W+N. Combining the order options 3 and 4, DIWETEN 355 fulfills now additionally the requirements of a fine grained steel as well as the toughness requirement of 27 J at -50 °C, so to say complying with a S355NL“W“. Thereby, DIWETEN 355 is optimally prepared for its use in the future sustainable bridges made of steel with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance.
